When an author friend sends you a review

I got so tickled – tickled pink or rather indigo! – when an author friend sent me this review she’d come across for one of my novels. I tend to avoid reviews as what one person loves another loathes so I don’t find them particularly instructive or helpful. Reading is so subjective. I don’t enjoy sushi but my boys love it so that doesn’t make sushi inherently good nor bad – it simply means it isn’t to my taste. Reading is much the same.

But I deeply appreciate each positive review, even the very brief ones that state what the book means to them, the reader. But every so often you’ll get a long & in this case lengthy & hilarious review that is so delightful it’s meant to be shared. Not sure which review site it came from but thank you, thank you for your reading time & then crafting such a stellar review. I do think you have a book in YOU! Juliet & Leith thank you, too!
