A new frontier tale…

It’s no secret that cover art is my favorite part of publishing. I’m such a visual person as evidenced by my Pinterest boards, so it’s truly exciting to see a ‘face’ put on my creative work as Revell’s art director says.

For novel 11, the art team is going a different direction. All of my covers thus far have had my heroine on them save one, The Lacemaker. The heroine will return to this new cover but will be quite different than those heroines of before. But no spoilers for you! I love the direction they’re taking and though I haven’t seen any cover comps yet of the design in progress, I have a feeling it will really pop! This new frontier tale has a title that may be my favorite yet! But I’m keeping that hidden, too, till the cover reveal this summer.

Here are two new covers on historical novels from my publisher, Revell, that will release this year and are so appealing personally…

Regina Scott is a prolific author of more than 40 historical romances. This is her first novel with Revell. The cover is truly breathtaking because of the majestic backdrop, the heroine and camera, and the title that fits the cover so well. I think I sighed when I saw it, always a good sign:) A Distance Too Grand releases October 2019.

Ann H. Gabhart is one of my favorite historical authors and a fellow Kentuckian. Ann’s website is gorgeous! The Refuge’s cover captures Kentucky’s autumn glories so well. Shaker history is fascinating and the historic sites still exist though the Shakers themselves are a thing of the past {and Ann brings them fully alive through her books}. The Refuge releases April 2019.

I’d love to know which covers,

past or present, pop for you!
