I think the title is awesome, seriously, ‘fortune’ can be extrapolated into so many variables.
Yes, I married a nerd.
Anyway, will Silas lose it all?
Did one of the wee bairns get in trouble?
Will we see a photo of Silas? Not that I’m swooning or anything, it’s mostly for his, umm, passport.
Will whoever gives the best reply win lunch in Rome with Silas?
What? You thought I’d forgotten, dintcha??

LOL, Jennifer! Chuckling at everything but especially the Silas-passport comment. Given my own mug shot is hideous, just sayin’ ;)! I think other than a historical novel you have a humorous one in you!
Love the “fortune” extrapolation. My first reaction was, sadly, of the monetary kind and I was dismayed. THEN I thought of fortune as blessing or benevolence or chance, luck, fate, whathaveyou, etc. Since it has love attached to it, I’m okay.
Have you noticed it’s kind of lonely over here lately? I think everyone has gone to my Facebook and Pinterest pages/boards! But then if you’re here I guess that’s enough! Thank you for being here. You always, always brighten my day :).
Hi,
Somewhere down the line, I would LOVE to write a ‘fish out of water’ humourous romance. It would be so fun!!
Yeah, I’ve noticed that today, it’s quiet everywhere. But as for your peeps going to Pinterest and FB, I still don’t see why they wouldn’t come here?
But blogs are weird. I mean, last week, I had a freakish amount of hits. Today? 21 so far. ????
Maybe, if I posted pictures of movie stars? Hmmmm.
And as for passports? I had a Canadian customs guy ask me why I didn’t get a re-take. Niiiiiiice.

Shame on customs officials! I do hope you pen that rom com :). You’re a natural!
I love it, Laura! It makes me think of mining – like a gold strike, or something. Any chance your hero or heroine will come out West in the third book? 😉 (I probably should finish reading Love’s Awakening before I make such guesses – I’m sure I’ll have a better idea once I finish book 2!)
Anywho, it’s definitely an epic title that feels like an exciting and positive conclusion! And can I just say that the background pic is gorgeous??
Thanks for sharing the news with us today! I feel like the title can really give a special glimpse into a book. 🙂

Amber, So glad you like :). Love hearing your thoughts on it. Come to think of it, there is a teeny thread about the CA gold rush in book 3 but no hint of it in book 2 so you’re fine, lol. Would you believe the background is free screensaver/desktop graphic or whatever that is called? I thought it fitting as the sun is setting (or maybe it’s rising?).
Speaking of titles, yours are beautiful and really DO give a glimpse into the book! Have a great evening!
I love the background and the title. The only hint that the title gives at least to me is there’s either an heir or heiress involved. Most likely an heiress.

Oh Carissa, Love your thoughts! You are right! I never thought of Wren in that way but yes, she is an heiress, for sure. Now I like the title even more than I did originally. Thank you :).
The background photo is stunning and I don’t have a clue what this new cover will look like. But I cannot wait! The final cover usually appears in Jan-Feb.
BTW, I was thrilled to mail something your way :). Only I wish I could have delivered it in person! Enjoy that fall sunshine!
Laura, I love this title! It definitely fits well with the series. Just wanted to let you know I am reading Love’s Reckoning for my second time before I start in on Love’s Awakening. I am SO excited to read that. And I am loving Love’s Reckoning just as much as I loved it the first time!
This is such an amazing series and you are truly a gifted author! Thank you for the stories you create 🙂

Leah, SO thrilled you’re rereading LR again in preparation for LA! I’d so love to hear your thoughts when you’re done. Some people have said they enjoyed the 2nd even more than the first. That’s fine by me! I’m always so curious about these things. I hope you’re finding little details rereading LR that may have gotten by you the first time. That happens to me sometimes when I reread books and it’s delightful :). I still remember your beautiful blog and your equally beautiful review!
I should have a new cover for you this winter and am so curious to see how it fits with the new title. Can’t wait for you to meet Wren in book 3. But no spoilers, I promise :). Thanks so much for being here. And happy rereading!

Hi Laura! Long time no speak, dear friend, and it’s all my fault! So sorry I’ve been awol! Lots of stuff going on – nothing bad (praise God!) just so much that has kept me from making time to catch up with dear friends and such. Just know you’re never too far from my thoughts and prayers 🙂
“Love’s Fortune” sounds very interesting and I’m very curious to see where that book leads us but FIRST I have to read Love’s Awakening, lol! Another thing that’s gotten pushed to the back burner, and more’s the pity! But I plan on getting to it soon and will hopefully be able to take a more educated guess as to what wonderful ride you have in store for us with book 3! Though, we know I’m not always right with my guesses, huh? lol 😉
Praying all is well with you and yours, sweet Laura! Hopefully we can talk again soon 🙂
Blessings,
Amanda

Amanda! So glad to see you anytime :). I think everyone is experiencing that fall rush when the seasons change and there is a big transition. It’s good of you to check in. Jack and Ellie make for good winter reading when the outdoors aren’t calling! Glad you’re a ‘good busy’ as opposed to a ‘bad busy’.
Love’s Fortune does fit the book well though it surprised me. It was my editor’s pic and she knows the heart of the story so it works well. I cannot wait to share more about the cover as it’s going to be especially unique this time round or so the planning of it suggests. Praying it all comes to pass!
Enjoy that east coast sunshine for me. It’s raining buckets here and we’re missing summer! Bless you for being here!

Love’s Fortune is intriguing because it can mean so many different things–like legacy of faith among the more “traditional” meanings. And that photo hints to me perhaps the next generation moves further west and/or higher into the mountains. Looking forward to it.
Preparing my review of Love’s Awakening, I re-read your bio. How did i MISS that you went to school in England?
Where did you go? How long? What a gift, eh? (When I was in college, it never occurred to me to study abroad. Oh well, I’ll just have to catch up by traveling! Yes!) And it occurs to me that may be another way you’ll soon be following in Davis Bunn’s footsteps.
Blessings and Happy Fall,
Mary Kay

Hi Mary Kay, So good to hear your thoughts about the new title. I love your legacy of faith idea. I think the beauty of the title is that there are so many different shades of meaning. THANK YOU for taking time to review LA. I treasure your insights.
Yes, went to school in England as a junior but was also there in high school for a time. I love reminiscing and could easily live there again though Scotland (Edinburgh itself) would be my first choice. I think the highlight was traveling while there. Turning 21 in Russia and seeing the Bolshoi ballet perform Swan Lake was unforgettable as well as a trip to Venice. YThose canals are a wee bit stinky 😉 but oh so beautiful, too. I would go back in a heartbeat!
Happy fall to you – so nice to celebrate it together!
