Happy September 1st and release month for Love’s Fortune!
It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Pinterest. Since beginning Love’s Fortune, I’ve created a board that’s been deliciously “secret” till today with over 200 images relevant to the novel. I hope the board is a feast for your eyes and heart!
I’d love to know if my images match the ones in your imagination ~ or not!
If you’re on Pinterest, I’d love to connect with you there! Just leave a link here and I’ll follow you.
Happy reading ~ or pinning ~ or both!
Laura, I’m so excited to read this book. That Pinterest album is so tantalizing.
I pre-ordered Love’s Fortune along with two other books. Well, I made the mistake of including a December book in that pre-order. LF and one of the other books are already out, but they’re not going to send any of them until December. So, I’m just going to have to up my patience level and wait to read it. That just teaches me not to make that mistake again. đŸ™‚
Please encourage your publisher to let you up your page count. I’m so sad when you say you have to send pages to the cutting room floor. Your fans will be most grateful. đŸ™‚
I know you said that you don’t really like to talk about upcoming books, but I do have a couple of questions. Are you going to go back to only one or two viewpoints in future books? I miss those.
Have a lovely day!
Sylvia! You’ve been missed! Great to see you again:) And I’m going to learn from your pre-order issue. Thanks for sharing that here. And here’s hoping Wren is worth the wait! Her story will test your POV patience, as this book has 4 POVS though 2 of them are minor. And yes, you are blessed encouragement as my next novel is limited to 2 POVs which is somewhat of a relief as it’s hard head-hopping at times!
I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to hear you say you enjoy extra words/pages. It will always be a lament of mine that I have to shave layers off stories and they read like screenplays when cut. A lot of author friends are going indie and enjoy the freedom of writing as long as they like:) Perhaps I, too, will put out an indie book and make it extra long for reading friends like you. How tempting is that!
Glad you like those Pinterest pics. I’m always reluctant to post my templates for heroines and heroines for fear of stepping on a reader’s vision. Likewise, I’ve seen other author’s templates of known Hollywood types and want to shout, “No, no!” đŸ™‚ At least my James is an unknown model here which makes him all the more a question mark of a man.
Hope you enjoy the lovely pins Revell created for me. Those are coming soon. Have a wonderful start to autumn!
The pictures you posted were AMAZING! It was fun ‘seeing’ Wren and James. I think the models you chose were perfect! I understand that it’s a double-edged sword to pick a photo of the hero/heroine that may not be how we the readers envision them. I have been turned off in the past when an author posts a picture of a famous person they feel resembles the characters, but because I don’t like them it takes a while to get their face out of my head while reading the book. But again, you did not disappoint in your selection.
I also enjoyed seeing the clothes, landscapes and other story knick-knacks. The flirting with fans and gloves was hilarious to me. Who knew that a flick of a fan or glove could say so much???
Can’t wait to read Love’s Fortune!
Amy! So grateful for your excitement to read Wren’s story and make some sense out of that Pinterest board:) That blesses me more than you know.
And you said it so very well. Like you, I am often turned off when famous people are posted as I have an aversion to them and find it hard to shake that negative connotation. I so understand that. Thrilled you like my templates of James and Wren. Another reader asked me to find out more about James but honestly, all I know is that he’s a male model for men’s apparel who appeared on Pinterest one day ~ and so I snatched him up! He’s a very handsome man, even unknown. If I could only remove that bow tie and replace it with a cravat!
Glad you got a kick out of the fan flirting and such. You’ll better understand Wren’s befuddlement in the book:)
You’re a gem of a reading friend and I’m so thankful for you. Happy Friday!!
TO MY DEAR READERS…
Some of you have tried to leave comments to no avail! We’re experiencing ongoing problems with WordPress that we’re trying to resolve. Thanks so much for your patience!
Warmly,
