I’m so delighted to bring you this story of my heart set in an amazing place rife with historical fireworks! I so hope you enjoy Lady Elisabeth’s dedication to Philippians 4:8, and her noble hero and his Welsh heritage in long ago Williamsburg, Virginia. One of the biggest joys is seeing the book land in readers’ hands after being so long on my desk! Here’s a collage of first sightings that makes my authorial heart sing…
Special thanks to retailers for having the book available to readers during the holiday rush!
And thanks to Revell for sending out these tote bags with some advance copies to celebrate!
I absolutely LOVED this book! You do an amazing job of maintaining historical accuracy in all aspects. Will this be a series of a stand alone book?
Dear Beth Ann – I’m so thrilled! Your kind words make my heart sing! Thank you for the historical accuracy kudo. I sure aim for that and this novel was especially challenging since so much of it took place at Colonial Williamsburg and centered on the American Revolution. This is, at this time, a standalone book. I’m currently editing a Scottish novel (think indentures, lairds and castles, and coming to America) due out next January 2019. And am not working on another frontier novel set in what is now West Virginia. I may write that sequel but it might be a while yet. Thank you for being here and for reading so soon after release!
Can’t wait to read your new book ‘The Lacemaker’. It sounds enchanting and I know you bring your books to life in such a beautiful way. I am ordering it for myself for my 70th birthday. I feel joy to think of it. Wishing you a beautiful winter in every way,and especially may the rich blessings of the Lord be yours.
Dear Maggie, I so hope this birthday is your best yet! And I feel such joy knowing you wanted The Lacemaker and anticipate it like you do. Thank you for the gift of your gracious words. Love how you say ‘may the rich blessing of the Lord be yours.’ You are certainly shining His light!

Dear Mary Jill. Just LOVE your reading thoughts here which makes me so glad I wrote this story. I am convinced that a reader mines the depths of a book and sees beauty that is in fact in they themselves. Those that don’t have that deep inside miss it completely. Thank you for being the kind for reading heart I write for! A Sabbath gift for me as I read this.
Oh how I love Jesus oh how!I love Laura was the response of my heart !!!!!I wish I had music notes to enclose this with!
What a treasure you are, Mary Jill. Though we’ve not met, I so look forward to sharing eternity with you! You have such a beautiful, gracious heart and the Lord really shines through you. Thank you so much for being here!
