Truly, I’m one of those low profile authors who likes to hole up in my cabin loft and just write. But when a book releases that comes to a screeching halt! So here’s some glad news to share on the book front. I promise to post more cabin pics later:)
I’m thrilled and thankful to share a starred review just in from Booklist. Librarians rely heavily on Booklist reviews so this is a double blessing.
The end of their review reads, “Frantz takes what could have been just another girl-next-door marriage of convenience story and turns it into something totally unexpected. Both poignant and suspenseful, this page-turner is sure to please a broad variety of readers.”
Last but not least is the beautiful image Revell designed for me to promote my upcoming LifeWay event. This is my first Kentucky signing and I’m overjoyed to meet readers in person. If you’re anywhere near that day, I’d love to give you a hug and sign a book!

Have a wonderful weekend!
WOOOOOOOO!!!
How exciting!!!
A book release, IN Kentucky!?!?!?!?
I sure hope Magua doesn’t stop by. But I guess SMO would protect everyone?
I sure wish I could show up and join the fun, but I’ll be in New Mexico, causing trouble. Hey, at least I’ll be in the same country, right?
Have a BLAST, Laura!!!
I can just SEE/DREAM?IMAGINE you in New Mexico! You have sun and sand in your blood:) I can sense your excitement and feel the Lord has some amazing things in store for you.
YES, General Ogilvy is quite good at fending off natives and redcoats alike :). Will be interesting to see if you’re smitten with him or if RS holds firm!!
Happy travels to you. They’ll be here before you know it. My prayers go with you!!
Good morning, Laura!!
Words fail me when it comes to describing my joy at your writing recognition, the coming release of another wonderful novel, your first Ky. signing, and the blessing of the cabin of your dreams – back home in Ky.. I know no one more deserving of these things than you!! Just picturing/imagining your joy while sitting there writing is overwhelming, as is the joy I’ll experience when I read your beautiful TMOTA!! God is so good to bless us with these pleasures/dreams-, isn’t He?? They bring such joy amid the trials of life.
Congrats all the way around – Booklist recognition, book release, Ky. signing, cabin – and all of life’s little joys/blessings!!
Love, hugs, prayers for you, family, and writing – always!!
Bonnie, You are always such a BURST of encouragement and light! I can’t thank you enough for being here as you are so busy. I just read your email and will respond soon. I am SO happy to be home and the writing and inspiration are new every morning right along with His mercies.
You’re so right – many blessings abound that make the trials seem insignificant in this season of life. Thanks for the reminder.
