A precious secret of Christian life is to have Jesus dwelling within the heart and conquering things we could never overcome. It is the only secret of power in our lives. Men cannot understand it nor will the world believe it is true that God will come to dwell within us and be the power, the purity, the victory and the joy of our lives. Our attitude will no longer be, “What is the best that I can do?” but we will ask, “What is the best that Christ can do?
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. ~Philippians 4:13

Amen!! Loved this post, Laura – He is my strength, I am nothing without His love and grace.
Happy Mother’s Day!!
Love, hugs, and prayers!!
Happy belated Mother’s Day to you, dear Bonnie! I was praying for you this morning as you and JuJu (lol) and ML are speeding south. Well, hopefully not speeding. I pray all is well and am sure many blessings are in store. Can’t wait to hear more when you return!
What an encouraging word, Laura. It brought Romans 8:37-39 to my mind right away.
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
Laura, Love your heart and spirit for HIM. I needed your verse here in Romans today as I have been battling discouragement. You are a gift, my friend!! And I’m loving your Instagram pics:)
Ahhhh, the Dogwood! it’s the Provincial Flower of British Columbia. 🙂 We don’t have Dogwood trees out here. Sigh…thank you.
I’ll tell you this fact, if I didn’t have God’s blessing, I would have given up my writing a month after I started.
This road is HARD. Wearing. Draining. Wearying.
But when I walk this path knowing that God has set it for me? I can persevere.
Beautifully said and a great testimony about the rigors of the writing venture and persevering! You are a wise woman. But you have what it takes to get there. I can’t wait to see everything unfold for you:) YAY!!
p.s. Shame on the dogwood for being user unfriendly! I plan on planting dogwoods and lilacs galore at the cabin when the time is right. They fail miserably out west, too.
