Dear Beth, It just dawned on me that this is the last month of winter so understand your dad’s anticipation of being on his feet again and back out in the field where he belongs! So sorry about that postponed surgery. Praying it goes off soon without a hitch and he recuperates so fast his doctors are stunned. I always pray big prayers, or try to. God is so good at exceeding our expectations! So interesting your dad is the oldest of 10 like mine. Those big farm families! We’ve lost 2 of the 10. Hope this winter is winding up well for you. Thank you so much for thoughts and prayers for my dad! He’s chomping at the bit for a surgery date which was pushed back due to finding a bone chip behind his knee which is causing pain and has to be removed prior to the knee replacement, if he still needs it after that procedure. To him, spring is coming and he’s anxious to be recovered for planting season, one of his favorite times.
My dad is also the oldest of 10 children, nine surviving! Farming is in his blood and I pray he can keep going as long as he wishes to! He reads every night after his long days. Thanks again for your words and wishes! Means a lot!

And I can’t tell you how much it means that your dad enjoys my books! Lifting him up as he has surgery and praying for a complete recovery so he’s good as new and back on his feet in no time. My dad was the oldest of 10 on a tobacco and dairy farm so I have vivid memories of when they changed to automatic milkers in those big barns and the smell of raw milk, hay, and manure 🙂 We raised our boys on raw milk so are big fans of your dad and dairy farmers. Like you, TCB was the first cover I saw and believe it or not, I just finished chapter 3 tonight as the author asked me to read it ahead of print:) It’s so good – Michelle really has a way with words.
