So many people do not realize the hard work, and time, that goes into those wonderful books. I love, love that period in our history. I’m so thankful that you bless us with the gift that God has given you. A faithful fan!! May God keep you in the palm of His hand, Dorothy Sexton laurafrantz on September 8, 2014 at 8:23 pm Dear Mary! I’m really thrilled you like this time period in history! I was amazed that the 1850’s was so very rich historically – and also full of heightened drama because it was the decade leading up to the Civil War. I have come to have a whole new appreciation for what was happening then. And my respect for the Underground Railroad movement only grows… THANK YOU for reading and being faithful which enables me to keep writing. Without you dear readers, there would be no new books to celebrate! And certainly no videos like this! I’m really touched by how you sign off ~ may God keep you in the palm of His hand, too. That’s a blessed place to be! Emma on September 7, 2014 at 11:18 pm Oh my! What a wonderful video! I am so excited about this book! I just have to keep reminding myself that September is only a month away! Just one month…you can do this, Emma! Hehe. Thank you for sharing this little glimpse into Wren and her story. It really is lovely and I cannot wait to have this book in my hands! My prayers are with you as the release draws nigh! laurafrantz on September 8, 2014 at 8:18 pm Emma!! LOL about that one-month-you-can-do-this. I pray/hope Wren is worth the wait! Actually, I serve up 2 heroines in this book, both of whose names I LOVE (hmmm, not sure that’s a grammatically correct sentence, lol), and also 2 heroes. I’d love to know at the end which hero YOU would choose! I was quite conflicted myself;) Thanks for being here and being so faithful. I was thinking today of all the gifts that come with a new book, readers like you are the best:) Anne Mateer on September 8, 2014 at 12:26 am Wow! What a very cool look inside the cover shoot! I love it! laurafrantz on September 8, 2014 at 8:12 pm Anne, You’ve had some wonderful covers yourself and I’ve said before your upcoming one is my very favorite:) Thanks to Brandon and Keith, the video/audio guru, I was so happy to drive to Seattle and take part. My son, Wyatt, went with me so it was a special day for him, too. He’s there in the studio but stayed in the shadows:) So happy to celebrate another release with you!! Mary Jill Coombs on September 8, 2014 at 2:20 am Dear Laura Such rich tapestry to behold once again! I have been holding my breath till Love”s Fortune came out and I got a notice last night That It was going to ship out on the 29 0f August! Alleluia How you bless me! And I wanted to let you Know my gratefulness for bringing Jocelyn Green to my attention. I now have Book 1,2,and,3 of Heroines Behind the Lines in My Possession! Still lest I die of Breathlessness September cannot come soon enough Can u bear the Drama of it all???love Jill:) laurafrantz on September 8, 2014 at 8:09 pm Mary Jill!! You are a kindred spirit:) SO thrilled you enjoy Jocelyn’s books – I’m over the moon that you met through me:) LOVE the drama of all this book buzz, yes, lol! Your comments lend to the joy and excitement of it all. Even after 6 books and more to come, it never gets old. But mostly because you’re right there ready to read. Bless you right back!! Peg Lynch on September 8, 2014 at 9:09 am I love seeing the cover shoot stories, almost as much as reading the book. This is the 2nd time I viewed the cover shoot story. And I think even this clip gets batter with each viewing. Ballantyne 1 and 2 were wonderful stories. can’t wait to read # 3. Blessings, peg laurafrantz on September 8, 2014 at 8:05 pm Dear Peg – I so hope you like Wren! Pennsylvania in 1850 was sure different than Eden’s 1785 or so and Ellie’s 1822! I really enjoyed the society angle as it left me speechless even reading at times. Thanks so much for your comments – am really thrilled you enjoyed LR and LA and are set to read LF!! Mary in Idaho on September 8, 2014 at 12:56 pm Fantastic!!!! Loved all two minutes thirty seconds of this!!! Also loved hearing your voice. Can’t wait for Love’s Fortune to be out. You know I’m not a big fan of having the protagonist’s face on the cover of my books, but this cover is so beautiful. I’m confident your story will live up to the cover. Now, if the story’s physical description of the protagonist matches that of the cover picture, you and Revell have really hit a home run. I so wanted to put an exclamation mark at the end of that last sentence, but thought I had used up my “comment” quota of exclamation marks already. Bless you and bless your gift of writing. Sign me: Anxious for release date. P.S. September 6th???? laurafrantz on September 8, 2014 at 8:01 pm Mary! So happy you like this! Your opinion matters to me. I must tell you, doing this video was a true leap of faith. All that stage makeup has me looking quite unlike myself but that model is truly Wren to a T! And she was just as lovely in person as on that cover. I hope, when you read the story, she remains true to the vision in your head/heart. Glad you like the audio:) That was sure fun to do. The longer audio is on my homepage if you want to listen to a longer reading. The release date is officially September 16 but Amazon and CBD have started shipping as of this weekend. Sept. 16 is the date when all the stores and everyone who ordered online should have the book. Thanks for celebrating another release with me. It’s much more enjoyable when you’re a part of it!! Bonnie Roof on September 9, 2014 at 9:05 am Oh, Laura – I absolutely LOVE this video and can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it!! I’ll soon have every bit of it memorized forward and backward(LOL)!! But as much as I love it, it doesn’t begin to compare with what I know will be the majesty of the book, itself!! Counting the days, my friend, until those new characters become new friends of my heart!! Thank you, Laura, for the beauty and inspiration you add to my life by following the Maestro’s lead as He gently and tenderly pours the notes in your heart to be used in composing the music for my soul!! Love you and love your books!! laurafrantz on September 9, 2014 at 10:35 pm Bonnie! You express yourself so beautifully I just know you have a book in you!! I’m delighted you’re enjoying this video so much. It’s amazing that Brandon and Keith compressed a full day in the studio to a mere 2 minutes or so! I do love the audio though I had to screen some of my Kentucky accent out;) It took some work! Wyatt was watching in the shadows and was amazed at how many takes everything took! I can’t wait to hear when Wren lands in your loving hands! And I’m dying for you to meet her cousin, whose name I love, and hear your choice of those 2 heroes!! Bless you, Bonnie, for always being so faithful!! Miranda A. Uyeh on September 9, 2014 at 11:39 am Lovely, Laura! Really enjoyed the video. All those details … Well done! laurafrantz on September 9, 2014 at 10:27 pm Miranda, SO happy you like this video – it’s different than the standard book trailers as my publisher thought readers (or other writers like you) would enjoy seeing something in process. You’re a gem for being here. Thanks for celebrating Wren’s release with me. I pray your own writing is going well :)! Gabrielle Meyer on September 10, 2014 at 12:01 am I loved watching this again!! I showed it to my husband, and he was also very impressed. 🙂 I haven’t read Wren’s story, but the model portrays a young woman I’m eager to meet on the page. Praying all goes well for you in the coming launch month, Laura. laurafrantz on September 10, 2014 at 7:10 am Gabrielle, It’s a thrill to celebrate another book with you:) I’ll always be grateful that Cass and Roxanna brought us together. Kudos to your hubby for watching that vid! I tend to think men aren’t interested but my Wyatt was certainly curious about it all when he went with me that trip – or maybe it was just pretty Wren as she was around his same age ;)! Things are heating up, that’s for sure, as release month draws near. It’s both challenging and fun to have a book due and a book out at the same time each year. Very thankful things are going smoothly. I’m counting down to your own release in 2015!! Carissa on September 10, 2014 at 10:58 am Love the behind the scenes video can’t wait to read the book. I preordered the book and can’t wait till it comes in the mail. Amazon says its shipped. I also can’t wait for your release next year. laurafrantz on September 10, 2014 at 3:14 pm Dear Carissa, I’ve been thinking of you as we move out of August! So, so happy you’re ready to meet Wren and the cousin I told you about in our email some time ago. I so love her name I could just pop! Glad Amazon shipped early! I just checked CBD and they’re backed up till Sept. 14 or so. I’m not sure why some retailers release early and some late. I like to think it’s because there’s a back order of books but that may be wishful thinking:) It’s a joy to celebrate another release with you. Glad you’re looking forward to next year’s also. Me, too:) Angi G. on September 10, 2014 at 8:52 pm Oh Laura! I just love watching this video of the cover shoot (seen it several times 😉 ). And I love listening to you read. You have such a lovely voice. I’m SO excited about meeting Wren and her hero and now I find out there’s TWO heroes? WOW! I have a feeling I’ll be doubly smitten. LOL! And of course, there’s dear Silas (can I *sigh* one more time? *giggle*). The excitement is building until I’m ready to burst. I can’t wait! Celebrating with you on your newest release, my friend! 🙂 laurafrantz on September 12, 2014 at 3:59 pm Angi, Your enthusiasm and encouragement are always a breath of fresh air!! TWO HEROES, indeed! Truthfully, I’d love to know which one you’d choose by book’s end. It was hard going for me for awhile as I nearly let one fella overtake the other in my affections mid-book! Luckily there are 2 heroines, too. So all’s well that ends well! So glad you are still smitten with Silas. Me, too. As one reader said, “Silas is large and he’s in charge.” I just private messaged you:) Jennifer Zarifeh Major on September 12, 2014 at 2:45 am Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!! (Ummm, is anyone else curious about the date stamps? Or am I losing it?) laurafrantz on September 12, 2014 at 3:52 pm LOL! I am such a blonde I am sitting here scratching my head about the date stamps. DO TELL!! I’ll take the “gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous” with those 2 !!! Can’t imagine doing this without you, Jennifer, my friend :)!! Jennifer Zarifeh Major on September 13, 2014 at 2:05 pm Aww, thanks. I’ll be home in 2 days, I can send you stalker emails then and tell you how things turned out on the vaycay. Jennifer Zarifeh Major on September 13, 2014 at 2:24 pm And yes, you are blonde. But you’re not BLONDE. 😉 laurafrantz on September 14, 2014 at 12:30 am Yes, there is a difference, thank you:)! laurafrantz on September 14, 2014 at 12:30 am I’ve been praying you’d get a boatload of blessings on your vacay! I’m all ears when you get home and have time:) Bonnie Roof on September 14, 2014 at 11:13 am Yes, I’ve wondered about the dates, Jennifer – and the dates on some of the other blog posts, also (LOL)!! Haven’t commented previously as I’m pretty clueless about a lot of the tech stuff (you know that “can’t teach an old dog new tricks” phrase and it DOES get harder to learn – and also remember- the older you get (LOL)!! laurafrantz on September 14, 2014 at 1:38 pm Bonnie, I’m with you – I absolutely don’t have a clue about these dates – guess I’ll have to ask my web person about them! Leave it to you and Jennifer to notice :)! My 2 very savvy friends. I’ll let you know what I find out! Cindy on September 12, 2014 at 1:52 pm I love this video. You should narrate your books!! The whole process of the shoot was fascinating. What a blessing that Revell makes such an effort to make your books beautiful. I think we must all be guilty of judging a book by it’s cover. My delivery date just moved up to the 31st. Excited just doesn’t begin to describe it. It will be bitter sweet to say goodbye though. I hope your summer was lovely. laurafrantz on September 12, 2014 at 3:50 pm Cindy, I think of you and your girls so often 🙂 Praying you all had a very blessed summer. This has been one of the best I can remember, filled with good things I didn’t anticipate. I just read Psalm 118:5 today and feel this is one of those “large places”, thankfully. That doesn’t happen all the time, of course, but it’s sure sweet when it does. So glad you like the audio:) I do, too. I really wish my books would go into audio format. Praying about that, too. I’d be happy to narrate:) Only my books tend to be so long I’d lose my voice in no time flat! Thanks for letting me know Wren is on the way. Can’t wait till she’s in your loving hands!! You sure bless me. Rachael Merritt on September 12, 2014 at 2:06 pm Totally loved this….and I’m eagerly awaiting this read! Amazon is saying I’ll get it Thursday! 🙂 I’m so super excited! Congrats on this new book, and thanks so much for writing such powerful novels! laurafrantz on September 12, 2014 at 3:41 pm Dear Rachael!! Thursday! I’m smiling because Amazon says I get mine Friday! So guess who’s first, lol?! You’re such a gem for ordering. I can’t thank you enough for that. It’s so crazy as I’m getting ready to hand this next 2015 book in and here we are talking about Wren! And I’m about to begin another story which just about makes my head spin with heroines. But it’s all good! You’re an ongoing blessing to me – thank you :). Jennifer Zarifeh Major on September 13, 2014 at 2:01 pm Laura, my computer says the date stamp for my previous comment was September 12. Unless Rod Sirling is doing a background voice over…you got some SKILZ!! laurafrantz on September 14, 2014 at 12:28 am LOL! Can you tell I’m math and time deficient, too;) You don’t miss ANYTHING, my friend!! Move over Rod – this blog is truly bizarre – and timeless! If the date is correct, I’m only 3 days away from release day!!
