I’ve been mostly offline lately working on novel 12 before galleys of An Uncommon Woman {#11} land on my desk any minute now. Here are a few elements from the recent cover shoot including Lindsey, the model. Love the strength and character in her features. Revell is known for their cover art & so the cover countdown begins:) Hope you’re as excited to see this one as I am. I absolutely love the title!

Laura,
So thrilled for you to experience this year after year. It’s exciting for your readers as well. It never gets old. The title and model both have a strength to them. I can’t wait to see the finished cover and hear more details of the plot. Also, names!
I’ve been dallying in a few old favorite books and am now reading a spy thriller. It’s so funny that my two favorite genres/ authors are so far apart in content.
Hope you are well. Liberty attended the 18th century heritage ball last weekend again. It’s always so amazing to see teenagers enjoying those old dances. I love to see the dances I’ve tried to envision in your books brought to life.
You don’t know what hearing about Liberty dancing does for my historical heart! JOY! That is truly keeping history alive and I’m so thankful. I’ve often thought if we could trade all these devices of our day into old-fashioned entertainments how much better off society would be. Healthier, happier, more social instead of isolated and unwell, etc. Dance on, Miss L!
Yes, the plot and back cover copy! Just finalized that a couple weeks ago and hope it doesn’t give too much of the storyline away like some of mine have done. And I must say how much I admire your reading tastes across genres. I’m always stuck in my historical rut 🙂 That probably doesn’t surprise you as it’s my entire gig lol. So good to visit with you here. I know you are savoring spring where you are. It’s so beautiful in your neck of the woods! Till next time, love & prayers.
Wow, Laura. Exciting to see An Uncommon Woman coming to life. Love the title ~ though I believe all your heroines exemplify uncommon/special women! And the model seems perfect. Counting the days. I hope you’ll say something on FB when the cover reveals, because for some reason Google won’t let me sign up to be notified of your posts! Prayers for you and yours.
Glad to the heart as Tempe would say that you think that about all my heroines! Thank you so much! I’m sorry about Google. I have a lot of trouble with Google and can rarely if ever leave blog comments because of it for some reason. I’ll have my web manager look at the Google sign-up and hopefully fix that. Thank you for wanting these and for letting me know there’s a glitch. I will certainly let you know when the cover goes live though you’ll see it beforehand via my newsletter as I think you do get that. Your thoughts mean so much to me on books and covers. Looking forward to hearing your first impressions! Anytime now 🙂
Can’t wait to see what the new cover looks like. There hasn’t been a cover of yours that I have liked. But the cover of a Moonbow Night will always be my favorite. I think its because that cover has Cumberland falls in the back (or at least I think it’s Cumberland Falls in the background).
Your Bluegrass instincts are spot on, Carissa 🙂 Cumberland Falls it is. I love that cover, too, a definite fave and my first split screen as they call it in cover design. Tempe’s looking up at the moonbow ticks all the right boxes for me. I thought of you when I opened the file for An Uncommon Woman yesterday. WOW! Awaiting the green light from Revell as to when I can share it (newsletter subscribers see it first). Revell has a new art director and she really knocked it out of the park, exceeding my hopes. Soon I get to see what you think though it seems to be the kind of cover you love for so many reason.
